The urgency of the problem of combining chronic endometritis of viral etiology and hyperplastic processes in the endometrium that form against this background is due not only to the increasing frequency of this pathology, but also to the possibility of recurrence and malignancy.
Was to analyze the literature data on the association of virus-associated chronic endometritis with the risk of hyperplastic processes of this localization, factors affecting the risk of malignancy, as well as the possibility of using markers of menstrual discharge for early diagnosis and evaluation of the effectiveness of treatment. To achieve this goal, a search was conducted for domestic and foreign publications in the international Pubmed citation system published over the past 15 years. Modern data on the main mechanisms of formation of hyperplastic processes in the endometrium, as well as on the risk factors of malignancy, are presented. Along with the use of traditional methods of diagnosing the pathology in question, the possibilities of identifying a disease marker in the menstrual secretions of the examined patients (glycodelin) are discussed both for early diagnosis and for evaluating effectiveness at treatment stages.
