Media Sphere Publishers was founded in 1993 by a group of prominent Russian medical scientists. At the time when Russian science lost state support and the majority of medical methodological publications were in a critical state, the team of enthusiastic doctors undertook the noble task of preserving the scientific experience and the achievements of the Soviet medicine, working with editorial materials and financially supporting the issue of topical industry journals, most of which had to be actually restored "from the ruins".

A special contribution to the formation of the publishing house was made by Savely Evelevich Bashchinskiy, M.D., cardiologist, scientific editor of the journal "Cardiology", member of the Board of the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), who since the first days of foundation of the media holding company heads the scientific work and coordinates the activities of the editorial boards of journals.
The authority and scientific reputation of Media Sphere Publishing House as a complex scientific and educational project were formed due to the deep erudition, experience and personal charisma of the strategist, media manager, talented screenwriter Evelya Savelyevich Bashchinskiy, who devoted his life to preservation of the scientific heritage of domestic medicine and remained the head of the publishing house, leader and inspirer of the team until 2013.
For the past seven years the publishing house's operations and project development have been managed by its General Director Nina Valeryevna Nemtsova, M.B.A., Full Member of the Russian Association of Pharmaceutical Marketing, who has a wide range of managerial competencies, proactive vision and fundamental knowledge of the publishing and advertising industry to which she has devoted over 20 years of her professional life.
