The hemodynamic and hormonal changes that occur during pregnancy contribute to the growth and manifestation of not only malignant but also benign neoplasms. In the limited space of the spinal canal, formation of any plus-tissue can lead to spinal cord compression, ischemia, and irreversible neurological damage. Therefore, although primary spine and spinal cord tumors are rare, the possibility of their presence should be considered in the differential diagnosis in patients with neurological symptoms. Screening and treatment of all women of reproductive age should be performed oncologic alertness of physicians of any specialty because it enables timely diagnosis and treatment of primary spine and spinal cord tumors and, consequently, improves maternal and perinatal outcomes and reduces morbidity and mortality in pregnant patients with primary spine and spinal cord tumors. This study presents the clinical case of a patient in whom an extramedullary dorsal spinal cord tumor was diagnosed for the first time during pregnancy and neurosurgical treatment was performed. The presented clinical observation and the analysis of the published scientific works allow us to draw a conclusion that surgical treatment of spinal neurosurgical pathology during advanced pregnancy is possible and safe both for the mother and the fetus because it provides an opportunity to restore completely the lost neurological functions and give birth to a healthy child at term.
