Abstract:

Proximal stent-graft induced new entry is a rather rare complication of thoracic endovascular aortic repair. The authors describe surgical treatment of ascending aortic dissection after previous thoracic endovascular aortic repair and proximal stent-graft induced new entry with aortic wall rupture. Appropriate surgical experience together with adequate intraoperative anesthetic and perfusion management ensured favorable treatment outcome in a patient with high risk of perioperative complications.
