Abstract:

Aim — the purpose of the study was to survey patient satisfaction regarding quality of treatment using the international Fertility Quality of Life questionnaire (FertiQoL). Material and methods. The study sample included 171 married couples with a confirmed diagnosis of infertility who applied for IVF and IVF/ICSI. The method of this study consisted of evaluating a special FertiQoL Treatment questionnaire regarding satisfaction with infertility treatment with ART. Results. Satisfaction with surgical and drug therapies was 52%. Dissatisfaction with these therapies was not identified. At 68.5%, the level of patient satisfaction regarding the interaction between the medical staff and patients undergoing infertility treatment was much higher. No significant difference in the assessment of satisfaction with the quality of treatment was shown when comparing treatment paid for by OMS insurance funds, with cases where the treatment was paid for by the patients themselves. Conclusion. Use of the FertiQoL questionnaire to analyze satisfaction with the quality of medical care in the treatment of infertility allows clinicians to get a detailed picture of the patient and to adapt fully to each particular case.
