Systemic inflammatory response syndrome in an obstetric clinic: resolved and unresolved problems

The paper is devoted to systemic inflammatory response syndrome, an extremely important and intractable problem in obstetrics, which plays a significant role in most complications of pregnancy and childbirth. The pathogenetic aspects of the syndrome, the steps of its occurrence, and the stages of the process in the presence of main obstetric complications are considered through the provisions of evidence-based world medicine and the WHO recommendations. Attention is paid to the resolved issues of clinical and laboratory diagnosis of a systemic inflammatory response resulting in endothelial dysfunction syndrome. A treatment policy and prospects for correcting a systemic inflammatory response, as well as the debatable problems of the syndrome are presented.
