The authors present the tactics of management in pregnant women with thrombophilia on the basis of the results of the published works and three-year experience of the Moscow Regional Research Institute of Obstetrics and Gynecology (570 pregnant women with this condition mainly caused by a combination of the heterozygous carriage of methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase genes and plasminogen activator inhibitor type 1 were followed up). Indications for patient examination and diagnostic methods for thrombophilia are given. Particular emphasis is placed on treating pregnant women with both unfractionated heparin preparations and low-molecular-weight heparins that prevent the most severe complications.
