Abstract:

Laboratory test results were retrospectively studied in 65 pregnant women with uterine myoma who underwent surgical treatment as myomectomy. According to the results of a histological study, all the pregnant women were allocated to 2 groups: 1) 34 pregnant women with necrosis of myoma; 2) 31 with uterine myoma without signs of its necrosis. The examined pregnant women were found to have significant signs of necrosis of uterine myoma from their peripheral blood changes that were used to derive a mathematical rule for prognosis. The use of the mathematical formula to predict necrosis of uterine myoma enables one to objectify indications for surgical treatment in pregnancy.
