Abstract:

The use of panavir in different dosage forms to treat 31 cytomegalovirus infection patients planning pregnancy offered a means of ascertaining the equal efficiency of its use as both intravenous injections (19 pts) and rectal suppositories (12 pts). It has been found that panavir has a positive effect on general state, normalizes immune parameters, reduces the degree of viremia, and may be used for pregravid preparation in the outpatient setting.
