Abstract:

The paper describes a case of diagnosing fetal tachycardia resulting in the development of nonimmune hydrops. Noninvasive fetal electrocardiogram recording was accomplished, which could diagnose supraventricular tachycardia of 300 beats per minute. Comprehensive ultrasound study verified the diagnosis and revealed significant heart failure, which necessitated emergency abdominal delivery. Normalization of heart rate up to 130 beats/min and further edema resolution occurred within 24 hours of intravenous digoxin administration.
