Abstract:

Eighty-nine pregnant women with hypothyroidism were examined and the course of pregnancy and the outcome of labor were studied in order to evaluate the hormonal function of the fetoplacental complex. By studying the blood levels of placental lactogen, free estriol, α-fetoprotein in pregnant women with hypothyroidism, the authors have developed the diagnostic and prognostic criteria for the fetal and neonatal status, which should be used when diagnostic monitoring is made in this group of pregnant women.
