Due to the increase in the incidence of bronchial asthma (BA), more and more attention is paid to the role of a proper lifestyle, including the influence of various foods on the course of the disease.
Generalization of available data about the effect of various foods on bronchial asthma course.
It was found that regular consumption of fruits and vegetables has a positive effect on the course of disease (fewer exacerbations and better control); the effect of taking vitamins or supplements with fish oil was not noted. In addition, the use of fruits and vegetables helps to normalize lung function, taking vitamin C has a mild positive effect on lung function, meat consumption does not affect it.
Healthy eating can be an effective way to improve asthma outcomes, but further research is needed. Correction of the diet in accordance with evidence-based recommendations should be included in the routine treatment of patients with AH.
