Abstract:

The article presents a clinical case of the successful outcome of an organ-preserving surgery with placenta praevia and placenta accreta vera in a 35-year-old patient with a scar on the uterus after a previous cesarean section. During ultrasound screening of the present pregnancy, placenta praevia was detected at 20 weeks. The third ultrasound screening confirmed complete placenta praevia and placenta accreta was suspected. The patient was hospitalised at 35 weeks gestation in the obstetrical clinic of the Gorodkov Ivanovo Research Institute of Motherhood and Childhood. The results of instrumental diagnostic methods confirmed complete placenta praevia, and allowed us to suspect placenta accreta vera in the area of the scar from the previous cesarean section. Due to the obtained results, metroplasty was performed with distal compression hemostasis and subsequent reinfusion of autoerythrocytes to reduce blood loss.
