Implanting a good quality blastocyst into the receptive endometrium is the key to a successful pregnancy. Poor susceptibility of the endometrium, along with insufficient thickness of the endometrium, is considered one of the main reasons for the lack of embryo implantation and one of the most difficult problems in the treatment of infertility using assisted reproductive technologies. The purpose of the literature review is to present up-to-date data on the definition, diagnosis and causes of thin endometrium, as well as on the pathogenesis of concomitant embryo implantation failures.
