Favre-Rakusho syndrome is a rare skin disease that usually occurs in older people (more often in men) and is accompanied by colloidal degenerative changes in connective tissue. Synonyms for this disease: cutaneous nodular elastoidosis, skin elastoidosis with cysts and comedones, solar elastosis, «wear-out disease». The pathological process is localized on the face, less often on other parts of the body exposed to sunlight. The etiology and pathogenesis of this syndrome are unknown. The disease has a chronic benign nature and is not associated with systemic and malignant diseases. In patients with Favre-Rakusho syndrome other skin pathologies associated with the damaging effects of sunlight are often found. We present a clinical case of a combination of Favre-Rakusho syndrome with verrucous lichen planus. The clinical picture of diseases and morphological changes in the skin lesions are described. Diagnostics of the Favre-Rakusho syndrome is difficult due to the poor awareness of dermatovenerologists and cosmetologists with the clinical manifestations of this pathology as well as the rare calling the patients with this disease. Cryo-massage and darsonvalization can be used as the methods of choice in the treatment of patients with Favre-Rakusho syndrome.
