Medication-overuse headache (MOH) is a secondary headache, attributed to excess intake of analgesic medications. Charts of 66 MOH patients (migraine and tension-type headache were primary headaches), who referred to the specialized center in 2021—2022, were analyzed. The duration of overuse was 3—92 months, patients used medications 4—7 days per week, and the amount of doses achieved 42 tablets/week. Intensity of headache was 4—10 points on 10-point Visual Analogue Scale. Only for 26 patients prophylactic treatment for primary headaches was prescribed before referral to the specialized center. Non-prescription of prophylactic treatment could be one of the causes of MOH.
