Objective — to improve obstetrical and perinatal outcomes in pregnant women with vaginal infections by means of optimizing diagnostic and treatment measures in order to reveal vitamin D deficiency and to medically correct it. Material and methods. Total 120 pregnant women were examined; their level of 25-Hydroxyvitamin D in blood serum was analyzed by the method of immunoenzymometric analysis three times. Vaginal infections were revealed in 97 pregnant women (Candida colpitis, Ureaplasmaurealyticum, Mycoplasmahominis, Chlamydiatrachomatis, herpes simplex virus, type 1 and type 2, and cytomegalovirus infection). After the primary examination, pregnant women of Group 1 (n=41) were prescribed vitamin D preparations depending on the initial level of 25-Hydroxyvitamin D in blood serum. Group 2 (n=56) did not use these preparations. Group 3 contained 23 pregnant women without vaginal infections. Results. The level of vitamin D in blood serum in pregnant women with vaginal infections was lower than that in pregnant women without vaginal infections. The dynamics of pregnancy without support with vitamin D preparations has demonstrated that its level decreased in pregnant women with vaginal infections and in healthy women. Conclusion. The intake of vitamin D preparations in a dose corresponding to its status in pregnant women with vaginal infections increases the level of vitamin D up to the norm.
