Thirty-nine infertility women referred for endoscopic treatment were examined to optimize the detection and diagnosis of genital tuberculosis (GT) on the basis of clinical and endoscopic data and local specific humoral immune parameters. A study group comprised 21 (53.8%) patients with tuboperitoneal factor infertility (TPFI) (Group 1); a comparison group consisted of 11 (28.2%) patients with fallopian tube damage-unassociated infertility (Group 2); and Group 3 included 7 (18%) patients with TPFI and a history of GT. Among the patients with long-term tuboperitoneal infertility, GT cases was 25%. In the patients with TPFI, the specific features of local humoral immunity were elevated IgM optical density (OD) (2.550±0.16 units of its measurement) in whole peritoneal fluid; the patients with prior GT, unlike those with fallopian tube damage-unassociated infertility, exhibited an increase in M. tuberculosis IgA and IgG OD (1.646±0.16 and 1.565±0.32 units of its measurement, respectively; p<0.05).
