Abstract:

The review shows the rate, etiology, and pathogenesis of precancer and cancer of the cervix uteri in HIV-infected patients. It describes methods for examining and treating this category of patients. Various opinions have been gathered on the efficiency of standard treatments and there is evidence for the positive role of highly active antiretroviral therapy used in the package of therapeutic measures.
