Abstract:

Ninety-eight pregnant women, including 30 with normal levels of thyroid hormones, with physiological pregnancy without somatic diseases, 33 with primary hypothyroidism, and 35 pregnant women with hyperthyroidism, were examined. Diagnostic criteria, such as the velocity and time of isovolumic contraction and relaxation of the left ventricle and aorta, were elaborated to evaluate cardiac performance and to optimize hormonal therapy in pregnant women with thyroid diseases.
