Abstract:

The clinical features of use of tranexamic acid, a hemostatic of a group of antifibrinolytics, were studied in 25 women with large or multiple uterine myoma. A control group included 75 patients undergoing abdominal delivery via medical myomectomy, who received no tranexamic acid. The use of the latter during cesarean section and myomectomy in pregnant women with multiple or large uterine myoma was found to reduce the volume of intraoperative blood loss and the time of surgery.
