The clinical efficacy of topical intranasal corticosteroid mometasone furoate (nozefrin) on the state of nasal breathing in 30 patients with polypoid rhinosinusitis was studied by an objective assessment of the dynamics of disorders occurring in the human body in this disease. In the course of treatment, it was found that a decrease in the volume of polyposis tissue was accompanied by an improvement in nasal breathing, which was reflected in the indices of rhinomanometry and acid-base balance. The obtained results confirm the effectiveness and identity of the original preparation of nozefrin, as well as an effective treatment for the non-widespread forms of polypoid rhinosinusitis and can be used both as monotherapy and in combination with other types of treatment.
