A large number of scientific publications on nasal septal perforation suggest that this problem is pressing in adult otorhinolaryngological practice and information on plastic closure of nasal septal perforation in pediatric patients is virtually unavailable. Objective: to develop and evaluate the efficiency of a hybrid technique for the plastic closure of nasal septal perforation in children under endoscopic control. Patients and methods. Nineteen patients aged 10 to 17 years with nasal septal perforation were operated on in 2013 to 2015. To increase the reliability of plastic closure, the authors combined the benefits of two surgical procedures: closure of perforation with local tissues and application of an internal buccal mucosal flap. All surgical steps were performed under endoscopic guidance. Results. All the children bore an operation satisfactorily. 18 patients had a positive result and no perforation. (Residual?) perforation measuring 2x2 mm was visualized in one case. Conclusion. The hybrid technique for the plastic closure of nasal septal perforation in children under endoscopic guidance is an effective and reliable procedure.
