Objective: to identify factors predisposing to pharyngeal tonsillar hypertrophy in children aged 3—14 years. Patients and methods. A total of 774 children aged 3—14 years were examined. The investigators used a retrospective information collection method, carried out somatometry in the children, and analyzed mucociliary transport time. Results. Acute and chronic adenoiditis is one of the most common ENT diseases in children. Lymphoepithelial ring pathology is to a greater extent responsible for high mortality rates in children, especially in preschoolers and young school-aged kids. In this connection, to identify the factors predisposing to pharyngeal tonsillar hypertrophy in 3-to-14-year-old children is a relevant problem. Conclusion. Groups of children at high risk for adenoids are identified.
