The review analyzes pathogenetic interactions between esophageal diseases and bronchial asthma (BA). BA often co-exists with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and the presence of GERD as a co-morbidity in BA patients prevents achieving control over the disease. BA co-morbidity with eosinophilic esophagitis is of special interest due to the commonality of pathophysiological reactions underlying T2 inflammation. The local immune regulation system disorder could be a link that unifies inflammation in the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal or respiratory tract. The physician’s alertness in identifying and correcting concomitant pathology can definitely improve the main disease course.
