Physiological features of aging of the body, according to the generally accepted opinion, include a decrease in compensatory-adaptive capabilities, the activity of the regulatory apparatus and antioxidant protection, which requires special attention to the dynamics of the functional state of elderly hockey athletes after the end of the training cycle. As measures of support and correction of the functional state during the recovery period, it is advisable to use training with the use of biofeedback to improve the vegetative balance and the intake of Cytoflavin to level the negative effects of oxidative stress.
OBJECTIVE
Approbation of a comprehensive methodology for psychopharmacological correction of the functional state of elderly hockey players.
MATERIAL AND METHODS
The study was carried out on a sample of 45 hockey players from the «Night Hockey League» amateur teams. All study participants were elderly men. Hockey players were randomized into two groups: group 1 (n=25), who received Cytoflavin after a training cycle and underwent biofeedback training, and control group 2 (n=20). Cytoflavin was given 2 tablets 2 times a day for 30 days. Biofeedback training was carried out using the Rehacor system in the pulse and respiration control mode, two courses of 5 sessions every other day. Break between courses 10 days. The examination was carried out in both groups twice: the next day after the end of the training cycle and after the completion of the Cytoflavin and biofeedback training courses in the main group.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION
According to the results of the study, a significant improvement in the functional state of elderly hockey players was revealed, which manifests itself in the form of an improvement in the function of balance, cerebral blood flow and a decrease in the severity of oxidative stress after rehabilitation measures. This circumstance makes it possible to recommend correcting the functional state of the «Night Hockey League» hockey players after training cycles using Cytoflavin and training with biofeedback to accelerate the body’s recovery.
