Abstract:

Endometriosisis is recognized as one of the most common diseases associated with infertility. 6—8% women with endometriosis have intact reproductive function and 20—48% have infertility. There is no common understanding of the exact mechanisms underlying the development of infertility in endometriosis. The most likely causes include ovulation and implantation disorders on the background of the endocrine, immune, genetic defects.
