Abstract:

Women with bacterial vaginosis (n=100) diagnosed by standard criteria were treated with three strains of Lactobacillus. The characteristics of vaginal flora were investigated. The comparison of two groups (lactobacilli group and placebo group) regarding the "time from cure to relapse" showed statistically significant benefits in favor of the lactobacilli treatment in premenopuse women with recurrent bacterial vaginosis.
