Abstract

The article provides a detailed anatomical review of the forehead region and substantiates a method for correcting age-related atrophic changes using preparations based on polylactic acid (PLA). It should be emphasized that the forehead area is an anatomical zone with a high risk of vascular and ophthalmic complications during injectable cosmetic procedures. In this connection, any injectable correction techniques in the forehead region, including the use of poly-L-lactic acid-based products, should only be performed by doctors with sufficient clinical experience, in-depth knowledge of anatomy and strict adherence to safety principles. The layered structure, volumetric characteristics and specific features of the vascularization of this area are considered, which is crucial for minimizing the risks of vascular complications. A method of vector implantation of poly-D,L-lactic acid (Repart PLA) into the subaponeurotic space is proposed. The results of correction, confirmed clinically and by ultrasound monitoring data, are demonstrated without registration of serious adverse events.
