Abstract

OBJECTIVE

To develop a new surgical approach to circumcision that would reduce the incidence of postoperative complications, optimize aesthetic results and be widely reproducible by physicians without the need for special equipment.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

This article describes a new circumcision technique using special preoperative markings and original method of postoperative wound closure. The authors present 42 patients who underwent original circumcision.

RESULTS

There were low incidence of complications, rapid recovery, and good functional and aesthetic outcomes.

CONCLUSION

This is the first description of new circumcision technique that increases patient satisfaction due to better aesthetic and functional outcomes. Further multiple-center studies will confirm the advantages of this technique and facilitate its widespread adoption in everyday practice.
