AIM OF STUDY

To develop a safe and replicable method for the formation of laparoscopic intracorporeal termino-terminal peritonized colonic anastomosis after performing laparoscopic hemicolectomy on the left.

MATERIALS AND METHODS

The methods and personal experience of laparoscopic hemicolectomy on the left with formation of intracorporeal termino-terminal circular-peritonized colonic original anastomosis in 6 patients with tumor pathology of the left half of colon are presented. The follow-up period after surgery was 3—12 months.

RESULTS

All operations (n=6) were completed fully laparoscopically — hemicolectomy on the left with standard D2-lymphodissection. The duration of operation was 124.5±15.2 min, the median blood loss was 125.0±8.2 ml. The hospitalization period is 9.5±0.5 days. In all patients, colon adenocarcinoma was morphologically identified. At the time of control, all patients are alive.

CONCLUSION

Laparoscopic intracorporeal colonic anastomosis is a universal and replicable treatment method for surgical treatment of patients with various pathologies of the left half of colon.
