Objective: to evaluate the efficiency of video-assisted endosurgical treatment for endometrial cancer. Subjects and methods. In the period September 2010 to September 2014, the N.N. Petrov Research Institute of Oncology operated on 513 endometrial cancer patients, by applying a Karl Storz laparoscopic unit. Results. Video-assisted endoscopic technology was used to perform extirpation of the uterus and its appendages in 304 (59.2%) patients, to do this and pelvic lymphadenectomy in 198 (38.6%), and this was supplemented with omentectomy in 11 (2.2%). No intraoperative complication was recorded. In most patients, the postoperative period was characterized by early activation, satisfactory intestinal motility within the first 24 hours, minimal complications, and no contraindications to adjuvant radiotherapy. Conclusion. Whatever their age and comorbidities are, the video-assisted endoscopic technology allows endometrial cancer patients to fulfil the entire volume of an elective radical surgical intervention with minimal traumatization, with minimal risk for intra- and postoperative complications, and with favorable and accelerated rehabilitation.
