Adrenocortical cancer (ACC) is a rare disease characterized by an aggressive clinical course and a poor prognosis. Its proportion in the structure of cancer morbidity is 0.04—0.2% with an annual incidence of 0.5—5.0 cases per 100,000 population. The fact that ACC is rare is responsible for objective difficulties in diagnosing and treating this disease due to neither adequate prospective studies nor sufficient treatment experience outside the specialized facilities concentrating these patients. Surgical and medical treatments for this disease are reviewed.
