Acne is one of the most common diseases in the dermatovenerologist’s practice. The main pathogenetic characteristics include excessive follicular hyperkeratosis, inflammation process, sebaceous hyperproduction and the excess growth of pathognomonic Cutibacterium acnes. Currently, the problem associated with the impact of a new coronavirus (COVID-19) infection on clinical course of dermatological diseases remains relevant. According to many studies, infection affects many other organs and systems, including the skin, in addition to bronchopulmonary system, and also causes an imbalance in the pathogenesis of patients’ existing diseases. In some cases, skin lesions are among the first manifestations of coronavirus. The clinical case description of severe form of acne in 15 years old patient, in which the past history of COVID-19 infection has led to the worsening of the disease course, is presented. Clinical laboratory observation confirmed the high clinical efficacy of systemic isotretinoin therapy, which provided rashes regression. The immunosuppressive effect of COVID-19 is one of the main causes of the chronic diseases’ course complication, their acute exacerbations and in some cases resistance to standard treatment methods. Considering the high prevalence of COVID-19, further in-depth study of its impact on dermatological diseases and methods of their treatment is necessary.
