Prolonged and successful use of isotretinoin in dermatology for treating acne leads to the regression of acne and its accompanying dermatoses. The question of using systemic isotretinoin not only for treating acne becomes relevant for dermatologists. The problem of differential diagnosis of acne and folliculitis is becoming increasingly relevant since there has been a recent tendency to establish a clinical diagnosis of acne in all patients with acne-like rashes. The article presents 5 clinical cases of patients with various clinical diagnoses (follicular occlusion syndrome, folliculitis, perifolliculitis, Grover’s disease) with and without acne receiving isotretinoin systemic therapy. Dermatoscopic and histological studies are necessary to determine the disease nature before starting therapy. The feasibility and effectiveness of low doses of Lidose isotretinoin to achieve a rapid clinical effect are shown.
