Skin neoplasms in children may be congenital or acquired, be single or multiple, and have a black, blue, brown, or pink color. The existing variety of pink skin neoplasms in children and the challenges of differential diagnosis requires the use of state-of-the-art examination methods. Dermatoscopy is currently the most effective method. The study objective is to create an algorithm for differential diagnosis of pink skin neoplasms in children based on the assessment of clinical and dermatoscopic features with further tailoring of the optimal management approach. A total of 194 dermatoscopic images of neoplasms from 82 examined patients were analyzed. Based on the results, the patients were divided into three groups: Group 1 included patients with single slightly infiltrated papules (n=6); Group 2 included patients with single node elements (n=39); Group 3 included patients with multiple papular or nodular elements (n=37). The analysis of medical history, clinical, and dermatoscopic signs for each nosology allowed us to define a set of typical clinical and dermatoscopic signs and suggest optimal options for patient management.
