Age-related changes in the face are multilevel and multicomponent. It is obvious that it is impossible to influence by one method on all aspects of the occurring age-related changes on the face. Therefore, the combination of methods that have different mechanisms of action and realize the effect at different tissue levels is pathogenetically substantiated and it is promising. The combined approach is currently already widely used in practice of nonsurgical aesthetic medicine, but they can rather be characterized as art, since the accumulated scientifically proven base is insufficient due to the fact that this area is difficult to study. Currently, the criteria for a comprehensive face assessment, which is the basis for an individual correction plan, remain undefined. The fundamental principles of the choice of targeted therapy, including a combination of botulinum toxin, fillers HA and laser/light treatment, are proposed based on the analysis of the accumulated research and personal experience of the authors. In the next article, we will present a set of practical recommendations on how to combine these methods in complex programs.
