ABSTRACT Here we report the case of a 9-year-old patient suffering from severe psoriasis. The disease manifested in summer a year before admission in the form of rash on the head and elbows. The patient repeatedly applied to a commercial medical center, but the diagnosis was not established. After treatment with lactofiltrum, suprastin, and dermovate, the rash was partially resolved, but in 2 months, the pathological process involved the skin of the trunk and lower limbs. The patient was treated at the hospital of the Kolomenskiy branch for 2 weeks. She was administered with 10% calcium gluconate, antihistamines, dermatics (1% salicylic cream, zinc-oil suspension, selective phototherapy, UHF inductothermy), which resulted in pronounced therapeutic effect. However, later on, the patient developed persistent and recurring form of the disease: remissions lasted 1—2 months, six exacerbations were observed within a year. Treatment of exacerbations was carried out at the Kolomenskiy branch of the Moscow Scientific and Practical Center for Dermatovenerology and Cosmetology (at the day hospital after ARVI, at the clinical and diagnostic department and day hospital after nervous stress). Complex treatment resulted in pronounced positive dynamics. Post-inflammatory hyperpigmented, hypopigmented, and congestive erythematous spots and plaques with mild peeling were observed.
