Abstract:

The article describes the current understanding of the pathogenesis of human papillomavirus infection. Clinical presentation, diagnosis, and treatment algorithm of anogenital warts (AW) are described in detail based on the analysis of the international literature. The mechanism of action and efficacy of imiquimod in treatment of AW are detailed. High efficacy of imiquimod cream (Keravort) in treatment of patients with AW is illustrated and exemplified by clinical cases.
