Abstract:

We present successful treatment of a patient with deep sternal wound infection, severe heart failure and sepsis with infection of wound surface, tracheobronchial tree and abdominal cavity. Surgical treatment under limited possibilities for reconstructive surgery is described, and approaches to conservative therapy of comorbidities are discussed.
