Abstract:

The authors report successful surgical treatment of superior mesenteric artery aneurysm and dissection in a 13-year old patient with a rare variant of visceral vascular anatomy and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome type IV. Surgeons applied a unique hybrid approach to endovascular repair of superior mesenteric artery with aneurysm resection. Descriptions of the treatment of this pathology in childhood are rare in the world literature.
