Abstract:

Clinical observation of phlegmasia cerulea dolens of the lower extremities caused by embolic occlusion of the cava filter is reported. Atherosclerotic lesions of the iliac and femoral arteries contributed to ischemic disorders. The diagnosis was confirmed by aortoarteriography and venography. Endovascular balloon angioplasty of the iliac veins and inferior vena cava up to the level of cava filter with selective thrombolysis (tissue plasminogen activator) and active infusion therapy resulted rapid regression of ischemic disorders and normalization of hemodynamic parameters.
