Nonparasitic cystic liver damage for a long time is asymptomatic, and is often an accidental diagnostic finding. It should be noted that when choosing treatment tactics, it is necessary to conduct differential diagnosis with parasitic cysts with echinococcosis and opisthorchiasis, as well as decay areas with alveococcosis and liver cancer. Therapeutic tactics for small cystic formations (up to 5 cm) consists in dynamic observations, and only an increase in size is an indication for surgical treatment. The choice of surgical access and the scope of surgical intervention is still the subject of discussion. The article describes the successful experience of treating a patient with a large non-parasitic liver cyst and shows the possibilities of minimally invasive technologies. The high efficiency of modern methods of instrumental diagnostics has also been demonstrated. Thanks to the use of endovideosurgical technologies, better visualization can be achieved, and the use of the energy of a high-temperature two-level plasma stream allows minimizing the risk of postoperative complications.
