From 2000 to 2011 370 children received medical treatment for trachebronchial foreign bodies. Children under three (281) were prevailed. Organic foreign bodies were aspirated by 88.4% of children, inorganic — by 11.6%. Foreign substances were localized in larynx in 2.2% of children, in trachea in 1.9% of cases and in bronchi in 95.9% of children. Complications related with long-time standing of foreign bodies (>10 days) in 110 children are studied. The most frequently endobronchitis and granulation tissue growth at the place of foreign subject standing were observed. For removal of aspirated subjects in case of granulation stenosis formation we applied two methods. In mechanical destruction of granulation bank in 12 of 28 patients bleeding, pneumonia and atelectasis developed. The other method was freezing out the granulation tissue with the use of specially designed cryodestruction device with hyponitrous oxide as a coolant. The technique was applied in 32 patients. Complications during and after the procedure were less than in mechanical destruction of granulation tissue.
