Extracorporeal blood purification is one of the methods used in complex intensive care for patients with septic shock. A patient with septic shock after neurosurgical intervention undergoing combined extracorporeal blood purification including continuous veno-venous hemodiafiltration and cytokine absorption is reported in the article. The described approach combined with conventional intensive care for septic shock resulted in fast hemodynamic stabilization and multiple organ failure regress. These clinical results are essential for brain damage patients treatment. There were no any adverse events associated with the procedure. Therefore, this approach can be deed promising for patients after neurosurgical interventions.
