Abstract:

The article is devoted to emotional burnout in medicine threatening stability of the entire healthcare system. The authors reveal the essence of burnout phenomenon and key factors provoking this condition. A particular attention is paid to the influence of current global processes, such as pandemics, political and economic changes. The last ones increased the risks of professional burnout among doctors. Considering many employees suffering from burnout, the authors emphasize the role of corporate preventive programs aimed at maintaining psychological comfort and stable emotional background of employees. In addition, examples of successful initiatives to improve psychological state of employees implemented in some large companies and medical institutions are given. Appropriate results demonstrate the need to scale up measures against burnout, integrate effective rehabilitation and implement preventive strategies at the level of government agencies and medical institutions.
