Abstract:

The prevalence of panic attacks is lower than other anxiety disorders (3.7%), however, they occur frequently (22.7%) and lead to a high number of requests for medical care. Panic attacks can often be veiled by other symptoms, which significantly complicates the diagnostics. In a clinical example, in the presence of complaints in the patient that are within the competence of an otolaryngologist, clinical parallels are between sore throat and panic attacks. As a result of interdisciplinary interaction between otolaryngologists, neurologists and chiropractors, it was possible to increase the effectiveness of not only diagnostics, but also treatment of this disease
