Abstract:

Based on many years of own experience and analysis of publications, this article considers the problem of surgical treatment of patients with colorectal endometriosis. Recently, the number of patients with infiltrative forms of endometriosis has been steadily increasing. In 8—12% of women with endometriosis, involvement of the intestinal wall into the infiltrate was diagnosed. Surgical treatment of patients with colorectal endometriosis is a difficult task for gynecologists. This article presents indications for surgical treatment, describes the main technical varieties of surgical treatment of patients with colorectal endometriosis (superficial shaving of infiltrates affecting the serous and subserous membranes of the intestinal wall, without opening its lumen — shaving, disk-shaped resection and circular resection with the creation of stapled end-to-end anastomosis), the basic anatomical landmarks during such operations, as well as the most common complications.
