Issues related to coarse cervical scarring remain underreported. The anatomical structure and functions of the cervix contribute to the maintenance of normal microbiocenosis, which protects the reproductive system from the introduction of specific and non-specific pathogens. Scarring cervical deformation creates a reservoir for long-term persistence of human papillomavirus and opportunistic and pathogenic microflora, contributing to the chronic recurrence of inflammation in the cervix. Against the background of cervical scarring, precancerous diseases often develop. Reconstructive plastic surgery to restore the structure of the cervical canal contributes to the elimination of chronic endocervicitis without the use of adjuvant therapy, normalization of vaginal microflora, and the state of infectious resistance of the reproductive tract. Any cervical surgery is one element of a comprehensive therapy that includes preoperative preparation for the management of acute inflammatory changes, and the creation of favorable conditions for regeneration, as well as postoperative rehabilitation. A prerequisite for an operation is the elimination of acute inflammatory and neoplastic processes.
