Objective - to evaluate the efficacy of Longidase used in the combination treatment of patients with chronic endometritis and/or intrauterine synechiae. Subjects and methods. Eighty patients aged 25 to 42 years were examined. Group 1 (a study group) consisted of 50 patents, including 29 women with chronic endometritis and 21 with intrauterine synechiae; Group 2 (a control group) included 30 patients, among them there were 23 women with chronic endometritis and 7 with intrauterine synechiae. All the patients underwent small pelvic ultrasonography, echohysteroscopy, diagnostic hysteroscopy, diagnostic curettage of the uterine cavity, and histological examination of endometrial scrapes. Intrauterine synechiae were destroyed in 28 patients. Group 1 patients were treated with longidase, a hyaluronidase conjugate with the high molecular carrier polyoxidonium having immunomodulatory, detoxifying, and antioxidant activities, which was used in the complex of antibiotic and hormone therapies. Group 2 patients received only antibiotic and hormone therapy. Results. The concurrent use of standard antibiotic and hormone therapy in combination with longidase was found to be more effective in the treatment of patients with chronic endometritis and in those who had undergone intrauterine surgical interventions (destruction of synechiae and intrauterine septum, removal of submucosal nodules, etc.). Conclusion. The use of longidase in the combination treatment of chronic endometritis patients undergoing destruction of intrauterine synechiae and other in utero interventions is preferential because it enhances therapeutic effectiveness.
